Christmas time...

Oh christmas time how we love you! We started out christmas by going to my grandmas for our traditional family Christmas Eve party!
We took this great picture of my grandma with all her grandkids. Us girls are pretty out numbered don't you think? Incase you are wondering I am the oldest grandchild and the youngest is seven. Trey is the oldest great grandchild at 7 and Harper is the youngest at 2.
After we came home we got all settled in for the night. We spread out some reindeer food that the boys both made at school.
Everyone opened their christmas Jammies!
Then we set out cookies and a coke for Santa! A coke is a must for santa at our house.
Jack had a very hard time going to bed that night. It took him forever!!! He was just to excited for Santa and every sound he heard in the house he was sure it was santa! He finally fell asleep though thank goodness!
Christmas morning the kids were nice enough to sleep in until 7. We woke Harper up and it was present time!

The kids loved everything they got Harper got princess stuff and babies. Jack got his beloved aggies bear that he has been asking for for ages. Trey got all the sports stuff he could ask for!
Santa was kind enough to get the boys personalized jazz jerseys! They are pretty awesome if you ask me!
Harper got tons of new clothes but her boots with the fur are by far her favorite! This girl loves the ugg boots! If you want to make her happy give the girl some boots!
Did I mention santa sent us bowling alley? That was a pain to put together but it's been worth it! We played a ton of games today...it's been great!
This is my favorite! I have been wanting this rug for forever! I honestly didn't think it was a possibility but that richard he's to good to me! We all love it but how could you not its beauty!!!
Harpers spent today taking care of baby cinderella! She's such a good little mommy it's pretty adorable!
Richard brought home our traditional christmas feast after work! We started this tradition a few years ago...we wanted to be just like a christmas story.
We ended the night trying to get a sweet family picture in front if the tree and fire. But in the typical fashion of this family, this is how it turned out! It couldn't be better it's totally us! We had a great christmas couldn't have asked for anything better (except richard not having to work)!!

Once there was a snowman....

It was out first official day of christmas vacation today. We have recently got a ton of snow so me and the kids decided to go out and make a snowman after lunch!
I was going to wait until after Harper had gone down for a nap but I thought why not let her join in on the fun...even if she did scream at me the whole time. Plus she looks cuter than any person on the planet when she's in all her pink snow gear!
So here he is...our snowman! Sadly he didn't last very long. It started to rain so snowman now has a melted face. He went from looking happy, happy, happy! To looking like he had a stroke. Oh well it was fun while it lasted!

Santa I know him....

A few weeks ago we went to our ward christmas breakfast. We have lived here eight years and we've never been. Mostly because it's a breakfast that starts a 9am. We aren't exactly moving that early on a Saturday. But we did it, ate all the breakfast cassarolles (yuck) you could imagine and looked forward to our visit with Santa. Our ward has a few good characters in it so I thought hey santa probably won't be that bad. Think again....I was really waiting for jack to bust his all time favorite quote of "you're not the real santa...you're a fake....you smell like meats and cheeses"

Luckily he made a good picture he just wasn't very jolly and when he told Harper , "am I going to have to tickle your knee to get you to smile?" Things got a smidge weird and it was time to get out of there!
Luckily we had another Santa time lined up and this guys was the real deal!!! Last year we went to kneaders and had breakfast with Santa one Monday night and it was the best so we made it a tradition!
This Santa was really the best! He knew their names, totally called the boys out on their brotherly behaviors and allergy to cleaning their room and put Harper in her terrible two place. He even talked to them about their elf Elfis and how he has been talking to santa about them. It was magical!!! Trey also discovered there is something worse than getting coal...Santa told him if he wasn't good he would bring him a Barbie! It was great the boys had the best time and Harper could not get enough of batting her eyes at the big man!!
