We just got back from our little vacation to Colorado! Richard has an Uncle over there that has been wanting us to come and visit so we decided that this year we would drive over to visit and take the boys to do some fun things! It took us about 10 hours to get there with all the driving and the occasional stops for stretching! Here we are about 5-10 into the trip the boys were not this happy for the whole drive so good thing I got a picture right at the beginning!
We left at about 10 that morning we got a late start because Richard had to go into work for Little bit so me and the boys had to wait around for awhile Trey was very anxious to get on the road! A funny story, Richard will hate that I'm telling this! We had stopped for lunch and decided that we were going to turn Jack's seat forward. His nose had been really stuffed up and was having a hard time breathing when we would fall asleep because his head would fall forward. We turned it around thinking that it wouldn't matter because the kid is like 25 pounds so no big deal! Well about and hour later Richard and his lead foot got pulled over...great...Jack is the wrong way! The police officer did notice that he was probably too young to be forward facing but we told him that we had been cleared by a doctor even though we hadn't! I knew that we would get pulled over as soon as I did it! Richard got a ticket for his speeding but at least we didn't get in trouble for Jack!
We also went to a Rockies game on Sunday it was a lot of fun but cold! Jack was such a trooper he sat in his own little seat ate snacks. watched the game and then had a nap with Grandma! Trey was just in love with Allen and Janell they were so good to him! He had so much fun! When Trey got tired of the game they took him down to the playground and let him get his sillies out as he would say!
We stayed with Allen and Dick and Pan stayed at a hotel so we were able to take the boys over to go swimming! It was Jack's first swim he is definitely a water baby! He had so much fun and Trey of course loves the water so he had fun to! Grandma Princess had got him a pair of goggles so he thought that he was the coolest thing ever!
On Saturday it was really cold so we took the boys to the Aquarium and to the Children's Museum they had fun Jack loved all the fishies and Trey loved the Sharks and the Jellies those are our favorites! Me and Trey got to touch some Stingrays that was a lot of fun!
At the Children's Museum they just got to run around and have fun Jack got to play with toys and Trey got to play dress up he was a Fireman and a Vet it was so fun and so cool I wish that we had something like this here it was so kid friendly and and the boys loved it! It was a good way to get out of the cold because it was freezing that day!

The first day that we were there we took the boys to the zoo and it was a zoo! It was a Friday so we didn't think that too many kids would be there, but I swear every single school in Denver was there for a field trip! The boys had fun for the most part only a few meltdowns! It is so much better than the zoo here in Utah. It will never be the same to me they had so many more animals! It was so much fun! This was the only warm day while we were here so we definitely took advantage of the warm weather!
Later Richard's Uncle Allen and his girlfriend Janell had us and Dick and Pam ( Did I mention that they went there too) over for a BBQ it was alot of fun! Janell is from Louisiana so everything is very Cajun they had tons of craw fish that they boiled up. Trey played with a few and then Grandpa Stud tried to get him to eat one. Not a good idea Stud! I think that he was a little freaked out by it for the rest of the night! Allen had saved a few for us to take home as pets but we forgot them oh well they will have to find a home some where else!

It was so fun the boys had a pretty good time Jack was teething at the time and Trey has allergies so it was the best that it could be! The weather was crazy really warm and then really cold but I guess that is how it is in Colorado!
The morning that we left we woke up to snow! When Trey saw it he said, " Oh no not snow!! I can't take this it is making me crazy!!" I think that he had heard that somewhere, but I can't imagine were ;)

Looks like you had a great time. I have one question though. Whats with the matching outfits on my two boys? It makes them look preppy, I never thought you would do that to your kids Meg....
How funny, I think we were in Utah while you guys were out here! Sounds like you guys hit all of my favorite parts of Denver! How fun. And the weather is not usually that bad :( Sorry about that!
