R.I.P.

Last Tuesday we caught a huge praying mantis! We put it in a jar and Trey decided that it was going to be his pet! We made a nice little home for it with grass and leaves and some twigs we even gave him a little thing of water! Trey named him Swiggy and we were going to keep him as long as we could!

Trey and Jack with Swiggy!

Jack trying to set swiggy free or eat him for a snack!

The one and only Swiggy!

Trey was so good for about 5 minutes to feed Swig some grass and make sure he had enough water! But people that thing freaked me out he would scratch at the lid and he was just down right gross! So I convinced Trey that we should let him go home to him mommy! Trey agreed and we set him free! But not 2 seconds later Trey found a new friend that we just had to have! But this time it was a cute little caterpillar! I didn't get any pictures of him! We had him for a few days and he was alot nicer and wasn't freaky he was just nice! Trey named him sneezy! I knew that he probably wouldn't last very long! Sadly sneezy left us to go the caterpillar heaven yesterday! So we had a nice little service for him!

Here is Trey throwing his body into the weeds! And then came his final thoughts... "Mom I'm going to do this in Spanish" (Because Trey is learning Spanish and Sneezy clearly speaks the language!) "Adios Sneezy." He then turned and went in the house! It was really funny, because he takes his Spanish so very seriously! To sneezy sorry that we let you go belly up, I'm sure it is better in caterpillar heaven anyway!!!

That is so dang cute! Boys are so funny when it comes to bugs. Not a phase I'm looking forward to at all. I'm like you, I hate bugs. They freak me out!

That is so funny! Oakley also caught a caterpillar and I am sure it will be joining Sneezy in the heaven any day now.

That is so funny. You're such a good mom! The praying mantis would have freaked me out too. Ivy loves worms lately, but I won't ever let her tough them- hopefully she won't be scarred for life.
