A few months ago we decides we wanted to give a mini makeover to our back patio area! We have a great big area to hang out back there but in the summer it gets so hot!!! After looking on Pinterest for a awhile I came across a pretty inexpensive outdoor curtain idea! I hung small curtain rods up and used plain old canvas drop clothes for the curtains! Sadly I don't have a picture of them but I'm sure you get the idea! That gave us the shade we desperately needed back here! After that we needed some color! So goodbye ugly beige chairs and hello color!
Jack picked most of the colors with a little pink thrown in from Harper! We just used plastic spray paint and now our chairs are looking brand new and super fun!!!
Next for the kids we got a pool! Not anything crazy but it's colorful and the kids pretty much spend all day in it!
Our next project in the most exciting! I saw this on Pinterest to and when I showed richard we decided we had to do it! It's a pallet sofa bed! We collected pallets over a matter of weeks and then we let the project sit for a long time. We couldn't decided what to do for the cushion part of it so we debated. We thought we would do foam but do you know how much that stuff costs? Who knew foam camping pads where so expensive? Then we thought air mattress. But couldn't decide if it would just end up popping or not. After going back and forth for weeks we finally chose the air mattress! It was a great decision! It's so comfy and prefect for lounging out in the backyard and not to mention super inexpensive. We even brought a fan back there so we can have a nice cool breeze when the curtains are closed! Trey is already planning his camp outs back there and me and richard are planning movie nights! It's so nice to have another area of the house to go hang out in!
