The Birds!!!
Trey's school has a few pets. They had asked for volunteers a little while ago and Trey was really excited because he wanted to bring home the class birds! I was not thrilled in fact I was more willing to take home cockroaches over these guys! But I just couldn't convince him so here we are! We had planned on taking them home in the middle of December but the school hadn't decided what day they were going to be done with school! So when they did our weekend was out. The only weekend that was left was the whole week of Thanksgiving! I'm not to excited about having them for a whole week but I didn't want to let Trey down, he was really looking forward to it! So I caved and we picked them up yesterday after school!
Here they are June is on the left and Benny in on the right! Benny likes to sing ALOT and June makes a sound like she is laughing at you!
I was hoping that we wouldn't have to take them out of the cage but Trey's teacher said that it was good for them to get out at least once a day so they could stretch their wings! I was not thrilled so I gave that assignment to Richard! Trey loves having the birds here and I think Jack likes them to! I was actually surprised that Trey would get as close to him as he did when they were out of the cage!
Here are all the boys playing with the birds! When we got them out of the cage yesterday all I could think about is that they were going to poop all over the house! It only happened once yesterday though we will have to see how it goes later today! A funny story we had let them out and they were not really moving around all that much they were just sitting on the cage! Jack was walking all over the place trying to figure out what was going on in this zoo and I was sitting on the stairs trying to stay as far away from the birds as possible! All of the sudden June started flying all over the kitchen and she came right for my head! I freaked out and started running and Jack started screaming! I can't blame him I wanted to scream but I didn't want to scare Jack. Then Benny started flying all over the place there were feathers all over the place. When Richard tracked down the birds they were up on Trey's room making themselves at home! They were quickly up back in the cage after that. Only 6 more days to go with the birds! I hope that I can convince Trey that we are going to bring home one of the other pets next time! But we are having a good time with our loaner pets but I'm glad that we get to take them back!

You are such a good mom! How do you get them back in the cage?
I am impressed you are such a trooper for Trey. I think I would have had to sit in a room with the door closed while the birds were out in fear they would fly at my head too! So I am impressed you managed to sit in the same room as them. I hope Trey doesn't want the birds again for your sanity! =) Happy Thanksgiving!
