Ugly Sweaters and New Furniture!!!

Every year our street has a little holiday party! It's one just for the adults and it is so much fun. Usually we just do a white elephant thing but this year our great neighbors came up with something new. An Ugly Sweater party! I was so excited because I knew that we knew a few people in our family who had some pretty funky holiday sweaters. My Grandma has a huge stash so I knew that was were we needed to look! I found a great one for me and Richard even decided that he would wear one of my Grandmas that he found! I was totally excited and we were in it to win it! I was determined that we were going to win the ugly sweater award!

And yes folks Richard took the grand prize for the ugliest sweater! They gave him this donkey! He said that they gave him an ass for making such an ass out of himself! It was great. I especially like this picture because every ones camera was going off at the same time so it really looked like he was accepting a major award!

In other news we finally got out new furniture! I'm so excited it was suppose to come almost 3 weeks ago I thought that it would never get here! We got it for our sitting room. I have hated this room since the day that we moved into this house, I thought that there would never come a day that I would like this room! When we moved in it had pink carpet mint green walls and was just ugly! It sort of has a weird shape to it! I have tried to make it good as good as I could but never any success! But now I'm in love......

Here is the whole thing put together! I know it is a little dark but I hope that you can still see it! I put up some red curtain today! It is finally the room that I have always wanted it to be. I can't wait for someone to come to my house and see it because I think that it looks that amazing! I've always just wanted it to look warm and inviting and homey! It turned out great!
