A Tree At Last!!!

We have been wanting to plant a tree in our front yard for a long time. I mean like years! When ever we decide that we are going to do it something else comes up or we waited to long. I was so surprised that Richard actually planted a tree! He was going to do it last week but then we had the flood that resulted in the big hole in the wall so it had to wait till this week! Last night we went and picked out the one that we wanted! I really wanted a red maple, the kind with the really dark red almost purple leaves! My Dad had them in his yard and I just love them they are so pretty! They give me that since of fall even when it is not! I don't know if that is really what Richard wanted but since he is the wonderful husband that he is he let me have what I wanted...because he is great like that!

This morning after we dropped Trey off at school we got to work. When I say we I mean Richard he is great like that also, not making me get all dirty for the sake of the tree planting! I just kicked back talked to the neighbors and took pictures to document!

We planted it in a big flower bed that I detest! It is covered in this horrible ground cover! There was a tree here before we moved here so he had to dig up a ton of roots, but it will make our front window nice and shady maybe in like 20 years!!!

Playing in the dirt! Do boys ever grow up!!!
Finally our tree is planted it only took like 5 years! It is going to look amazing some day but I think that it looks great right now! Richard has thoughtfully named in baby girl because it is a girl tree and that is probably as close as this house is ever going to get to having a baby girl in it! Hahaha!
