The mancave....

We decided that it was time to make a change. The boys have really wanted to make a move to the basement. I have been contemplating letting them for awhile but the thought of cleaning out the toy room has made me put it off. We have another bedroom in the basement but its more like a closet and I knew that unless they both went neither one of them would brave it alone. So we decided to purge the toy room and move them into what really is our second family room. We don't use it for anything but toys so it was going to be the perfect move! So one day me and the kids and by that I mean trey purged the toys down to the bare minimum. I let each one keep one storage container of toys and everything else had to be donated aside from a few bigger things. It was amazing! The toy room has always been a thorn in my side because its always a mess. You can clean it one day and you'd turn your head and it was war zone again. We gave it fresh coat of grey paint like the rest of the house moved them In and this is what it turned out to be!
It's working out amazing! I don't know if they really like sleeping down there or if they are just so tired from school that by the time they go to bed they are to exhausted to care, but it seems like they are loving it! It's been staying so clean and nice because we don't have the mass of toys that we once had. This little project has sent me on a decrapping of the whole house! Which is good because now I have something to do while the boys are at school and Harper is napping!
