Welcome to the Future!!

So finally after a week of being impatient on my part....my house project is complete! I started this with only one thing in mind but it quickly lead to many, many more little projects!

Here it is all finished! I couldn't find a before pic of the house so unless you've seen our house you won't know what it look like before! So picture everything that is black to be white and for the garage doors to be just plain old normal white doors!

My SIL Tiffany had told me a while ago that you could paint yes I said paint your garage doors to look like carriage house doors and that it was way cheap! I was a little nervous about it but she did hers and they looked amazing! So I decided that it had to be done! I started on Wednesday with the painting finished it all that day and waited for the hardware to come in the mail every day till to day!

On Thursday my neighbor drove me past a house that was yellow with black shutters and doors and I just knew that I couldn't stop at the garage door! Everything else needed to be black! We all know that I'm in love with the black! So Thursday afternoon I started with the door! I got my wonderful hubby to climb on the roof and get the shutters down, couldn't have done it without his help! He was such a good sport through all this craziness, because I think that he thought that I was crazy with some of these ideas! I spray painted the shutters black and I also spray painted our railing on the stairs black! I feel like I have died and gone to black heaven!
My hardware finally arrived this morning and after Jack's nap I got to work! My drill was not having it though so I called Grandma Princess so see if she had any ideas!

She came to the rescue even though she is sick! Thank you so much you were such a great help...couldn't have done it with out her!
It turned out so much better than I ever could have thought that it would! Even Richard is excited about all of this work that went into our little house! My neighbors who didn't see me out there painting the garage doors have thought that they are real windows in there! It makes me super excited and some one even stopped by our house today to take a picture of them! It looks so up to date and I'm in love with it if you can't tell! Our little house is finally becoming a little home!
