On Saturday night Richard got a little crazy and made a random suggestion that we should call up our great friends the Ropers and go camping! I was all for it! So we called them up to see if they wanted to go and we were off on our very first camping adventure as a family into the woods! We decided on Green Canyon in North Logan and it was pretty great!

We loaded up the car, can you see Trey cramped in with all the stuff!!

And we were off! Don't we all look excited! We have never been camping before besides the backyard so it was sure to be an adventure! Honestly after we were on our way I started to wonder what I was thinking taking a 3 month old camping!!

Shortly after we got to our sight the Ropers got there and Tenzing a Jack took to the mountain to look for rocks! They also didn't waste any time getting covered in dirt! It was great!

Oakely and Trey worked hard building this fire pit so we could roast them in it later ;)

Richard and Kelly worked hard building our fire for the night! Richard after all was the cub master for a long 3 months so he's a pro!!

Trey spent most of the night like this staring into the fire and occasionally trying to burn down our campsite! You have got to watch that kid and a hot stick!

Later we roasted hot dogs! Tenzing and Jack were in heaven!

After a few minutes I had to step into help Jack since it was going to start looking more like a dirt dog instead!

Trey had fun telling Oakely "scary" stories! It was funny to listen to all of them tell their version of a scary story around the fire!

Jack and Tenzing the best of friends!

Trey and his face! This kid was covered from head to toe in dirt!

Jack doing a fire dance!
We put all the kids to bed that night and us adults stayed up til about 1 relaxing by the fire! It was great! That night it was so warm. I was worried about how cold it would be especially for Harper but honestly it was hot! It got a little windy that night but it didn't even disturb the boys they slept right through it! Me and Richard didn't sleep that great but we still had alot of fun!

The boys woke up bright and early for a breakfast that dad forgot to pack so here they are eating a breakfast of champions!! I will make sure we are better prepared next time!

Tenzing and Jack decided to hike the mountain that morning to see what they could find! They both found tons of fun things!

Harper had a relaxing morning with Daddy after a great nights sleep! Seriously I was a little worried about her sleeping arrangements but she did fantastic! We bundled her up in her car seat and she slept til about 5! When she woke up she ate and went back to bed as fast as always!

Daddy and Harper enjoyed a nice morning relaxing by the fire and Richard did what he does best! Even camping can't tear him away from the evo!!!
We couldn't stay up there that long in the morning because we still had to get back in time to go to church! So we cleaned up our stuff and were on our way!

The boys had a great time! Just look at those messy faces! We had a great time too and we are so glad that the Ropers came with us! It was so fun and we can't wait to go again! We were totally exhausted a few hours after we got home and I think all of us were pretty out of it at church! I was sitting in the back in primary rocking Harper and I almost put myself to sleep but it was totally worth it!
