Carnies, Ponies and Piggies!!!

It is that time of year again when the Carnies come to town...yes I'm talking about he Cache County Fair! We love the fair for many reasons the boys like to go and see all the fun things and me and Richard like to see all the people that you wouldn't normally see crawl their ugly tattooed selves out for a night on the town!!! We went and saw all the fun things that Great Grandma Bair put in the fair and I think that she got blue ribbons for everything!
The boys both got balloons, two each to be exact!
We went and saw the animals, Trey was careful to stay as far away as possible! Someday he might get over the fear...maybe when he quits getting attacked by dogs!
We usually steer clear of the chickens! But this year Jack was all over it! I'm surprised he would get as close to them as he was! Now this is a Chicken Monster for you Jacky Bair!!!

Trey on the other hand couldn't wait to get out of there! Every time a bird so much as looked at him wrong he was freaking out!

Jack loved seeing the sheep and the piggies! He told me that he loves the piggies because they are pink and chubby and cute!!! That was until one snorted at him then he didn't think they were so cute anymore!

Richard and The Boys having dinner at the fair while listening to the people competing for the Cache Valley Idol...It wasn't pretty, but all these boy sure are!!!
Me and Harper at her first trip to the Fair! She was not diggin' the fair especially after she woke up! But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!!!

So the fair for us is not about the rides...we (as in myself and Richard, not just me) don't let the kids ride the rides. Have you ever listened to them when they are going, you can hear things falling off of them! I'm not about to have one of my babies get on those rides and get hurt!
What we do let the kids do is ride a pony! If you know the boys at all you know they are pretty much terrified of most animals that aren't a good distance away from them, but Trey can't wait for his pony ride every year!

Would you think from looking at these pics that he is afraid of animals? He rode his pony like a champ! Jack on the other hand didn't want to do it this year and that started his momentary possession by the devil!
Which ended our fair experience like this! Jack being man handled back to the car! I love it when one of the kids is so tired that they melt down like this! Richard and I have a really hard time holding back our laughing, because it's hilarious! They talk in tongues and get all sorts of crazy and then magically it stops like nothing ever happened! It was a great trip to the fair and I'm sure Harper had a great 1st time or at least we hope she did! Sadly it means the summer is almost over and soon both of the boys will be starting school....Yikes what will I do with myself!!!!
