She's Here...The Delivery!!!!
So I'm going to do this in a couple of different posts because there are so many pictures! This one is about the actual delivery. It was a very early morning, my surgery was scheduled for 7:30am and we had to be there at 5:30am. I didn't really sleep the night before because all I could think about was how many more hours until I as going to get my guts cuts open!!! Richard had given me a wonderful blessing to help calm the nerves the night before so I think that I was alot calmer then I could have been. Not to say that I wasn't nervous because I definitely was. But by the time we got to our room and I was all set up I was feeling pretty good.
Here I am all dressed up in my fancy hospital garb signing my life away! You go in so early so that you can do this, get monitored, get your IV and get pumped with 3 liters of fluid all before surgery begins. Needless to say I had to pee...alot!
Here he is getting my socks on to walk to the operating room. Now this was about 15 minutes before my surgery it was about this time that the nurse came in to tell me that my surgery was about to be bumped another hours because of an emergency csection that needed to take place. Bummer...so we waited another hour that went by really quickly! The anesthesiologist came into talk to me about the spinal and this is were we can cue me and my tears. I don't know why but I was terrified of this more then anything. It was mostly because I didn't want to be in there alone without Richard getting a needle the size of china stabbed into my back! But luckily for me they noticed this and let Richard come and be with me...Thank goodness, because I needed him. It was so easy with Richard there with me because he talked me through it and it was over in a matter of seconds and then I couldn't feel a thing. They started to set everything up wash my belly and then I started to get nauseous which I was told would happen. But it was fixed fairly quickly and pretty soon it was time to have this baby girl!
Here I am just before the surgery started and keep in mind I had just been crying and puking so don't judge! It was a very weird feeling because I could feel pressure and them pulling her out but no pain. She didn't want to come out of my belly so it took a few minutes mostly because my Dr. tried to keep my incision as small and neat as possible...

I just love her! I got to hold her for awhile before they took her out! It took awhile for them to finish sewing me up since my Dr. was removing my old scar completely and giving me a fresh new one. Sort of like a mini tummy tuck ;) and soon I was wheeled to the recovery room!
Here she is while she waited for me to snap out of it for a minute! This time around was so much better then the last time. I was able to nurse her right there in the recovery room and it was just so nice to have that little moment alone with her and Richard and to actually remember it! I wasn't in a terrible amount of pain and I could actually be in the moment and enjoy every single minute of it! I had an amazing nurse, doc and anesthesiologist they were all so great to me and helped ease all my fears so that I could stay in the moment! This was by far my easiest delivery and I now have the sweetest little baby girl to show for it!
