Backyard Campout!!!

I have said before that we have a list of things to do this summer and one of our things was to camp in the backyard! This has really been put off because well it's alot of work! We finally decided that we would do it though since Trey has to go back to school in just a couple of weeks! So we set up the tent and prayed for the best!

Trey was very excited because he got to use his lantern that he got from Grandma Princess!
Jack was not loving the idea of leaving his nice cozy bed behind and sleeping outside (I wasn't either)! We had to really do some convincing that it was cool to sleep in a tent! I think it took us a good ten minutes to even get him to come it far enough so that we could close the door!
Trey had fun telling us scary stories about his big toe! If you haven't heard the big toe story you are missing out and if you haven't heard Trey's version of the big toe you really haven't lived!

Richard and Jack were really into the big toe story and can't you tell that Richard was getting a little scared wondering what would happen!
I was totally getting the hibbies! Me and Jack had alot of cuddling going on!

Eventually everyone got tired and fell asleep to the sound of our neighbors bug zapper! (for the record I hate that thing and sleeping right by it made me hate it even worse) You can't see Jack because he is sleeping in typical Jack style with his blanket (the baby bears) over his head!

But here is my little Jacky Bair having sweet pirate dreams!
Unfortunally this sweet sleep didn't last long! I woke up to a scuffle in the tent and saw Jack frantically trying to get in Trey's sleeping bag with him because it had started to thunder and lightning! Poor kid he was so nervous he was saying "help Trey, help!" Trey of course didn't even hear it or move! I got poor little shaking Jack and cuddled him up with me were he laid for the rest of the night while we listened to the thunder and rain!
At 7:30 this morning our human rooster went off saying " Wake up everyone it's morning!" Bet you can't guess which one that was! It was a long night but it was well worth it because both of the boys had fun! When I ask Jack if he had fun he says yes and then says in a low whisper "funder"! Trey can't wait to do it again so me and him will be camping out again tonight and waking up bright and early for this 4th birthday! Yes people he is turning 4 tomorrow and I cannot believe it!

Backyard campouts are the best. I like the option of going in if you need to.
