Hummingbird Season!!!

The first summer that Richard and I lived in our house we discovered that in our backyard there were tons of hummingbirds! We use to sit on our back porch on those long summer nights waiting for the arrival of Trey Baby! We would turn on our back light and just watch them fly around in our flowers! It was so peaceful...then occasionally the neighbors cat would come over and eat them! It did it so often that soon the hummingbirds were gone! It has been a few years since then and we haven't had that many of them around probably because the cat likes to eat them all! But last night when we were outside I noticed that there was a ton of them! So we sat with the boys on the back porch and watched them fly around!

I tried to get some pics of them. I got a few they were very hard to get because they were all flying around so fast! We stood really close to the bushes with the flowers on them and they were all flying around us buzzing our ears! It was so fun and the boys were loving every minute of it! There were probably 30 to 40 of them out there!

Jacky was standing back eating a late night piece of bread for a snack!

Trey loved getting buzzed by the birds! It's nights like this that I love! When we are all just having fun as a family enjoying these little things in life! Sadly these times must come to an end! Trey went for this.....

To this is a matter of seconds! I wanted to get a picture of me and the boys so we all sat down on the grass and poor Trey put his hand right on a bee! Stung him really good! The stinger was stuck in his wrist. It was basically the end of the world...if you know Trey! He had never been stung before which is odd since Jack has been stung 4 times this year alone! We did a minor "operation" to get it out, put some mud on it, washed it off, put on some vampire spit (hydrogen peroxide) and a little witches booger (neosporen) and he was good to go! I was sad that that was how our night had to end because Trey will remember it for the rest of his life! I just know that the next time we go to watch the hummingbirds that he will remind me of the time he got stung by a bee! He is like his dad when it comes to his memory...he remembers everything!
The hummingbirds don't end there though! This morning I was cleaning up the house! I went down to vacuum in the family room! I started it up and went to work, I looked up at the curtains and there was a Hummingbird...it was in the house!
Totally gave me the hibbies! Thankfully Richard was still home and was able to put that thing outside because I probably would have tried to make Trey do it! I love the hummingbirds just not in my house! Birds really do gross me out I don't know why! That is what we get for leaving the door open while we look at the birds though I guess! Oh well, it's something that I look forward to every year! I will now remember this as the time that a bird was in the house!

Poor Trey baby! I would cry if a bee got me too. I am also glad Richard could get the hummingbird out. I don't do well with animals in my house that don't belong in my house.
