It's Hard Being a Mom!!!

Yesterday the boys had their yearly check up with the Doctor. Trey had been really worried about this because he didn't want to get "the needle"! I assured him maybe even promised him that he would not have to get any shots! I knew that he would have to get them next year before he went to school since that is when you get them. So we headed to the Doctor and did our thing. I thought that Jack would have to get one since I had heard from friends that there was a shortage of one of the shots and now they had it! I was totally prepared for that but then our Doctor suggested that we just go ahead and get Trey's school shots done NOW! WHAT!!! I couldn't believe it! Her reasoning was because at this time they had combination shots and next year they might not! So it was either get fewer now or get more later! I didn't really want to do it since I had promised the kid he didn't have to get the needle, but then I thought that it would be better to get less shots now! I didn't know what to do I felt horrible! Unfortunately for Trey we decided that we would just get it over with now! I know I'm an awful mom and I know that because Trey told me so. It was so sad and Richard, I think just wanted to teach me my lesson so I had to hold him down while he screamed bloody murder! Honestly you would have thought we were cutting off one of his limbs ...it was that bad! He survived but had protected his legs all night last night and this morning when he woke up.....


This is what they looked like! The one on the right is honestly twice the size of his other one! It is swollen all the way down to his knee! He can barely move it. It's so sore and swollen! He won't walk on it normal! I hope that it is going to go away soon! I feel so awful!
Mean while he has been doing alot of this today! Curled up in a blanket watching cartoons! I think he just needs to move his leg around to get things flowing but he says that it hurts to much! What to do, what to do! I hope that he starts to feel better soon I wish that I could just take all the hurt away and give it to myself since I'm the one who messed up...royally! I on the other hand have learned a very valuable lesson...never promise your kids anything especially when it comes to going to the doctor!
